Air flows quite well on the earns and side of the neck. tradeoff on increasing speed and cooling effect for sound is proportional. would definitely recommend if you are okay with a tad bit more sound for the cooling effect. sounds like a typical fan. the led light is a nice feature when walking at night. color changes when you press the buttons consecutively.
